1. Curriculum
a) Montessori and Primary classes
SPPS follows an application based teaching methodology where the focus is more on practical training rather than just the theoretical concepts. It enriches the analytical skills of its students. Our school is committed to ensure delivery of high-quality and effective teaching & learning techniques.
b) High School
St. Philomena’s Public School (SPPS) is affiliated to CISCE (Council for Indian School Certificate Examination). We follow an extensive syllabus with few compulsory subjects and a list of optional subjects to be chosen.
Subjects in CICSE have been divided into three main groups. It aims to embed problem solving skills in students. Group 1 consists of all the compulsory subjects, while you are allowed to opt for any two or three subjects from Group 2 and one subject from Group 3.

2. Co-Curricular Activities:
We believe that co-curricular activities are an essential component of a well-rounded education. These activities provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build lasting relationships with their peers.
We offer a wide range of activities such as:
Literary association, Art & Craft, Public Speaking, Debate, Elocution, Quiz.
SPPS has made Yoga, Dance, Karate and Art & Craft compulsory for all Students as part of our school curriculum.
3.Exam Pattern & PTM:
SPPS strongly advocates the periodic evaluation and monitoring of student performance throughout the academic year to assess what students are learning in specified topics/subjects.
For Grade 1 to 10 in the whole academic year 4 Round tests and 2 Semester exams are conducted. Internal marks will be awarded to students based on their regular performance in the class and assigned tasks (projects/seminars/activities) completed by students during the course of time.
For Montessori students 2 Round tests and 2 semester examinations are held throughout the academic year.
Â
P.T.M: Class teachers would be conducting PTM within 2 weeks of the completion of the exam. Parents will receive adequate notice, and each student and parent will be provided a specific time slot for PTM. Each pupil will have a duration of at least 10 minutes. Parents will be informed of the PTM timetable via notes in their children’s school diaries/printouts/WhatsApp group of the class.
